34km WINERY LOOP - NEW

ROUTE HERE

If you are just starting out on your cycling journey or perhaps looking for a more casual cadence then the 34km Winery Loop is for you. Starting and finishing at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley this loop is suitable for novice riders looking to take in the beautiful surrounds of Wine Country. Riders be aware that there are also a couple of challenging climbs to keep you tapping away at the pedals to make you feel like you have earned that glass of wine at the end.

START LINE: Rydges Resort Hunter Valley (RRHV) through the vineyards

FINISH LINE: back to Rydges Resort Hunter Valley

APPROX TIMES: 9am start.  Estimated completion time: 1hr 20min – 2hrs (finish 10.30am-11.30am)

COST: $60pp (includes ride, rider ID plate and lunch)

58km CLASSIC RIDE

ROUTE HERE

Join us for our classic 58km ride from Rydges Newcastle Harbour front following states roads through to Rydges Resort Hunter Valley. Includes a catered rest stop at Peace Park Weston.

START LINE: Rydges Newcastle

FINISH LINE: Rydges Resort Hunter Valley

APPROX TIMES: 8:00am start. Estimated completion time: 2hrs-4hrs (10am-midday)
 
COST: $84pp (includes Breaky, ride, rider ID plate, rest stop snack and lunch)

92km RIDE - NEW

ROUTE HERE

For those looking to challenge themselves we have added this option to increase your ride from 58km to 92km via a 34km loop of wine country to experience the tranquil country roads of Lovedale, Pokolbin and surrounds. Leaving Rydges Newcastle at 7:30am to complete the classic 58km H2V, you will then be able to re-fill your water bottle and carbohydrate reserves at the Peace Park rest stop then continue to complete the ride and 34km loop through the scenic Hunter Valley vineyards finishing at the award winning Rydges Resort Hunter Valley for beer/wine and lunch.

START LINE: Rydges Newcastle includes extra loop through the vineyards and returns to the below

FINISH LINE: Rydges Resort Hunter Valley

APPROX TIMES: 7:30am start. Estimated completion time: 3hrs 30mins –5hrs (approx 10.30am-midday)

COST: $110pp (includes breaky, ride, rider ID plate, rest stop snack and lunch)

2024 Transport Options:

$25pp Early Bus – 530am leave Rydges Resort Hunter Valley to Rydges Newcastle (limited spots)

$30pp Return Bus – 1.15pm Bus leaves Rydges Resort Hunter Valley back to Rydges Newcastle

Please note a few important things for the day below:

  • A light continental breakfast will be served at Rydges Newcastle (only for 58km & 92km courses)
  • Partners/family or friends are welcome to attend lunch. Cost is $40pp and includes buffet lunch. Must book at time of registration
  • Kids lunch buffet $25 for 12 and under. Must book at time of registration
  • RIDERS  are required to be present for the compulsory pre-ride briefing
  • Riders to come to the registration table on the morning to sign in and to confirm we have all the required details.
  • Final course route will be shared closer to the day.
  • Don’t forget to bring some coins for the raffle on day!
